2024 Word Of The Year: Inspiring Thoughts By My 10 Year Old 😀

I was so inspired by the essay my 10 year old son wrote at school for his 2024 Word of the Year. I asked him if I could share it here.  The following paragraphs are his exact words.

My Word For 2024: Improve

My word for 2024 is improve . I chose it because I want to improve myself by making sure I reach my goals, such as being more loving, kind, smart and so on. I will make sure I can improve my bonds with my sisters and parents. That’s how I know this year is going to be awesome.

In my life I have important things to do but I should balance it with things that improve my life such as bonding, loving my family and improving skills.

My life can sometimes be stressful and I can look into the past and beat myself up over the mistakes I made in the past instead of improving and moving forward.

Our lives can sometimes make you mad or angry but it’s good to feel those emotions and improve and act on how we handle them.

This year is one I will definitely remember because I am set on changing myself and my body and habits.

Tenzing

I am grateful that he wanted those improved relationships. There are lots of day-to-day struggles and conflicts in family life, but so much possibility for growth and happiness together too!
